Getting around
Should you decide to leave the peace and tranquillity of The Dutch House and set off explo
ring Galle and the historic Fort, we recommend that you use one of the local Tuk Tuks to get around in & explore. Our staff will arrange this for you on request.

The Dutch House is within walking distance of the centre of Galle and the Galle Fort. Walking around the Fort is the best way to soak in its history and to explore the narrow streets, lane- ways and historic ramparts. Also available is our restored vintage Rover.

Getting there & away
The Dutch House is a 4 hour drive south from Colombo’s international airport or for guests coming from the centre of the city of Colombo, a 3 hour drive.
Rather than travelling by road why not transfer directly from your international flight onto Sri Lankan Airlines Air Taxi and arrive in Galle (Koggala airport) in just 30 min. Koggala airport is only a 15 minute drive from The Dutch House. It is the ideal way to travel in style, comfort and luxury at an affordable price.
